What if.

[DUNNO WHERE THIS CAME FROM, BUT IT SURELY SOUNDS GOOD]

If only

If you could just think before taking another step into your life…
To pause and trace along the edges of the people you might become

It’s a dangerous thing to live in regret
To want so desperately to become someone else, anyone else
That you start to lose your real self — flawed as that person might be.

Life is fading out.
There is hardly anything at all
His life is suddenly a large, empty house, with each vacant room waiting to be furnished.
His made-up wife, his invented father, his pretend childhood. He wonders if it is possible to unlie yourself.

We sometimes laugh or cry at how random life is — no matter how well planned.
But life is a but a big olympics
Where people plays the ‘what if’ game.

Thinking how the doors in your life are shutting, options closing
Makes you shift uncomfortably in your seat.
